Located in the heart of the thriving San Francisco Bay Area music scene, Modulus Graphite began crafting exceptional handmade instruments in 1978. Modulus' specialty is using innovative materials to better meet the needs of the serious musician. They pioneered the use of graphite in guitar and bass neck construction. They were also the first to combine structural graphite with non-structural tonewoods in the Genesis guitars and basses.
Innovation is meaningless if it doesn't result in greater playability, sonic integrity, and visual beauty. Modulus is dedicated to building instruments that showcase all of these characteristics.
With an incredible strength-to-weight ratio and a resonance peak well beyond the note range of a bass, it is the ideal neck for producing a clear and balanced tone. Because graphite transmits attack much faster than conventional wooden necks, the Quantum neck helps improve articulation and is highly dynamic in sensitivity.
